Ethel Mars' Deusenberg sold for $4.4 million

I saw on the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Club forum that Ethel Mar's Duesenberg SJ was sold for $4.$ million.

My father & uncle bought this car in Chicago in 1946 for $1800. They though they were going to make money on it.

They sold it 18 months later for $1650.

It still had a chauffeurs uniform in it.

Somewhere, we still have a set of keys for it, but don't know if Bill Harrah changed the locks when he restored it.

Originally it was some sort of gray or silver color, based on the B&W photo of it my father had.
